I have completed all the other evaluations so far except for this one, and I saved this one for last because I wanted to first make all my evaluations so I could talk about them. I think that I have put a lot of detail into my evaluations and the average amount of words for each evaluation is about 350 – 400 words. I have been pro-active and started the evaluations on Friday, the second last week of school, and I am ahead of everyone else in my DT class, 7S2. I like evaluating my work because I get to write how I felt, what I did and what I could have improved in my assessments.

It’s pretty easy but some parts challenging for me to evaluate, but mostly easy because when I start writing an evaluation, I keep writing non-stop until I’m done with it, so making an evaluation doesn’t take long. I first thought that we only had to evaluate upon the four steps of the MYP Design Cycle, Investigate, Design, Plan and Create, but it turns out I have to evaluate ten things. For the evaluations where I have written more than 500 words I feel proud of and it feels good to look at them because I like looking at a lot of work that I have accomplished.

The question that I found the easiest to evaluate upon was the Investigate one, because I had a lot of things to write about how it was the first summative assessment I had ever turned in in the 7th grade. The Evaluation which I found the most challenging was probably Design, since it was the one I wrote most on but maybe the reason why I wrote so much is because I had a lot to talk about.

In one section, Design Specifications, I found it a little hard to organize the text, because it was hard to make a link between the sentences, so that is something I could improve. I think my evaluations are top level, and maybe I might get a six, if Mr. Thorburn likes my evaluations and sees that I have work VERY hard.
