There are a lot of things on my model that could still be improved, like the color, the neatness inside and outside of the shelter, add a door and some cushions to make the model like it is in the final design I drew in Step 2, Design. One way to improve the neatness next time if I ever do make another model would be to glue the objects onto the model more carefully. I should do it carefully and not in a rush, unlike when I was building my model I was in a BIG hurry to meet the deadline.

The neatness on the outside could be improved by also putting in the thicknesses of the Foam Board, because now the model looks unstable and had many gaps and overlaps which make it look ugly. A suggestion which I got from my client and my classmate, Karl, would be to file edges of the walls with a file or sandpaper, so the model doesn’t like an old pile of junk.

There are also many spot where it is easy to see the glue popping out the sides of the shelter, so an improvement would be to use it little less glue. In my Plan, I wrote that I add 36 cushions, but I made a slight change to my Plan. The model does look nice with the space in the model, and with the cushions the model would probably have overflowed with cushions.

The DT lab did not have did not have Foam Board that was neon green, so next time I could go to a store where they sell materials and buy some neon green Foam Board. With these improvements my shelter could become better, and possibly be put up on a shelf as a display, if approved by Mr. Thorburn.
