The steps for this task were very straight forward, make steps on how to build your model so one can understand it. For the tables that Mr. Thorburn had made in the Plan Worksheet, he had put three categories as Date, Numbered list of jobs and tools to use and Duration. I changed these categories to Step Number, Procedure and Checklist, which I thought would be better to have, because it’s very difficult to know at exactly what day I would be doing this, and having the word “Procedure” made it easier to understand.

At first I had the third category as “Checklist”, but when Mr. Thorburn gave me feedback on it, he told I should put the duration of each step, so I did that, but in the Create stage the durations I had put for each step were way off, because drawing marks and cutting takes longer than I thought. I have learned now that drawing marks takes time, and next time I make a step-by-step plan, I will hopefully get the times more accurate.

The Evaluation I wrote for Plan was two pages long, and looking at it makes me feel good about myself, because I put so much effort into the Evaluation to make it look good. I didn’t put useless information in the Evaluation, because what I have learned from Mr. Thorburn and my dad, putting useless information in something makes it boring and dull and uninteresting. I was very proud of myself when I got the results for Plan, because I got a 6 out of 6, and that made my day a whole lot better, making me unable to stop smiling for about half an hour.

I do however think that the duration given to us to make the Plan was too long, making the time for us to build the model in Create a lot shorter, so I think next year when the new 7th graders are doing the Plan for Emergency Shelters, the time should be decreased by 3 days, therefore having more time to build the model.
